We use the ipark app when street parking in Brissy. Cashless Parking with iPark It's really neat and allows you to only pay for exactly the time that your car is parked. It texts you a reminder and you can top it up remotely. Highly recommended.

Just two quick questions:

1. For those mainly heading to South Bank, is the Queensland Museum the best parking option? Someone I know recommended this but I thought I'd run this by my fellow forum users as well.

2. What's traffic like on weekdays after 5pm, heading northwards on the M1 from the Gold Coast to Brisbane Airport?

Just weekdays - only time I can do a day trip to Brisbane is when the kids are at school.

The Museum or Cultural Centre car park is $15 for all day which is extremely cheap for Brisbane. If three of us are heading into town it works out cheaper than getting the bus. Highly recommend it.
