I confronted Scott Morrison in his Shire office when spousal visas were taking 5 months and he was shadow immigration minister ...... he wasn't interested in the slightest. .... what are spousal visa wait times now ..... 10 years?

Given his posts of late, I'd say he'd welcome that with open arms!

About 5 years from application to PR if you need the provisional stage first. If you need a PMV first it can be 7 years. And probably another 3-4 to citizenship. Ridiculous. Current timelines are destroying families not keeping them together.

Its not the PR bit I am wondering about. Its the time you submit your forms to getting the visa. From memory its was called a sublass 820 or something

Something really annoying happened to a friend trying to get a 189 visa that pissed me right off. No matter I've just sent a letter to the PM about it.

yeah, the 820, the provisional stage - anything from 12 months to 2 years at present I think.
