Diploma of Business (Human Resources) - Anyone done this online?
Has anyone done the above course via correspondence? If so is this a huge disadvantage compared to class structure? Also who did you go through?
I have spoken to one RTO that have assured me through Recognition of Prior learning I could fast track the course from 12 modules to 8 especially as a lot of this is experience gained working here in Melbourne for the past 3 years.
Does anyone have any input on this? good or bad opinions welcome!
I have completed OHS Laws and Training and Assessment in part-time study which I think really needed to be done face-to-face so was pleased I chose that option. What about my Dip Bus?

TAFE - At the moment only had one quote for Open Training Education Network. Can't find another provider online.
Just wanted to know if anyone had done this course via correspondence rather than attending college.

Have you got the link to online courses please? I've searched and they don't seem to offer this.

if you are interested specifically in HR then the ahri do a distance learning course in that. I know people who have done correspondance courses at home and it has worked for them I suppose it depends on the type of learner you are

Very briefly, the attractions of doing on-line:
attractions of classroom learning:
Certainly you have to be very disciplined to study via distance learning successfully but the support should be there.
For what it is worth I manage the Diploma in HR at a TAFE in Brisbane and currently have 87 students. Our TAFE enrols around 60 students a week onto various open learning courses.
PM me if I can help you further.
- self paced
- if you have the time can complete quicker
- study at times suitable to you
- support offered via telephone; email; and if you live near to the provider they should offer 1:1 informal tutorials
attractions of classroom learning:
- cheaper
- network with other like-minded students
- direct tutor contact
- classes at set times each week
