LOL, yes that's true. Well, I think we're going to rent for at least a year as the housing market is pretty flat both 'over there' and 'over here' so shouldn't loose too much money pulling out for a bit. Looking at prices though, we'd be happy enough in a 2 bed terrace or similar (we're a young(ish!) couple - no kids) - you can get nice ones for around $500-550,000 in Glebe/Surry Hills type areas fairly close to the CBD. Maybe after a while we'd think about moving further out and getting a larger pad.

Either way, after $500,000 the costs go up on a sliding scale and the benefits still look considerable.
