Company car vs allowance

Company car vs allowance
Hi again
if we take the $20000 car allowance (thinking that on 457 owning car will give money for return costs plus hubby wants second hand 4wd), at what rate are we taxed on that allowance??? Looking at spending $23k on kia sorrento on a loan. what deposit do we need??? Also hoping to fund a 5k runaround for me from this amount....
If we went for company car we will be taxed save running costs but have no equity in the long term...
Any advice or experience???
