Hi all !
Would appreciate it if any one could provide some suggestions....
Is there any way we could claim extra points for community language without having any formal education on that particular language ?
Thanks for your reply,
cheer,
himalaya

I didn't got mines despite I brought an high education diploma in my native language. And the clerks proved to be very un-cooperative when I protested. Luckily I still got 115 points. My advice would be to come with some papers, maybe you will be more lucky than me.

You need either the equivalent of an Australian degree taught through the language
(it can be in any subject) or accreditation from NAATI. http://www.naati.com.au

Is it OK if the degree is taught in both the foreign language and English?

Hi Jeremy, Himalaya,
Actually, it is possible to do the NAATI test at overseas locations. But be
warned, the test is very difficult in most languages. Probably the biggest single
error people make is to underestimate it. It is also important to buy the NAATI
study guides.
Cheers
