Fosters?? *shudder* I'd guess it'd be Carslberg or Carling, both equally piss poor. I used to drink Red Stripe... I miss Red Stripe

We use RSL's when we go out which is about $4 a schooner and decent priced grub.

I brew my own at home and with a bit of practice and Googling you can make quality beer (certainly better drinking than VB or Thooheys) I also find it a fun and very rewarding hobby and more than halves the cost of drinking at home

Red Stripe was ace

If I'm going to drink beer here (at home) it will be of the strong (7%+) variety and usually comes in expensive bottles ... mmmmmm ...

When out I can down XXXX with the best (or worst) of 'em ...

Reminds me, must get up the mountain and get some supplies:

I was going to mention Crucial Brew but wasn't sure anyone would remember it.

There's a Facebook group about bringing it back

I agree, i do the same thing since I like beer and didnt want to pay $40 for a box of 24s...

with home brew you can start by buying the Coopers kit in Kmart or Big W....it comes out to as cheap as $16 for a batch of 60 bottles (355ml)... and yes the most basic brew tastes better than VB, Carlton Draught and Tooheys New....

when I first started out, i would spend lots of time of this forum http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com/foru...showtopic=9233

when I want wine I just get the $3.99 "Gossips" brand at Dan Murphy

Crucial Brew is basically Special Brew with a suntan.

I, for one, never want it to darken my throat again...

He he still doing, he was mad as a hatter last time I want, must drink too much of his own product.

I got third degree burns from that blue berry Schnapps, can't see it anymore in the product list anymore, must have caused a fatality !

We have some homemade orange wine in the fridge, it is not suitable for human consumption ... or any consumption in fact.

Still better than our attempt at Mulberry wine, that had what looked like brains growing in it ... some steralisation issues I think ...
