Calling Indians (Calcuttans???)...Indian Police Clearance Cert....Time?

I'm applying for PR to Oz.
Any Indian (any Calcuttan...???) got any idea how long does it take to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) in India.
I'm currently in Calcutta. Over and above if someone could
outline the process of PCC with time frame it would be much
appreciated.

45 days it takes to get Indian PCC.Apply under Misc. services in the Passport
office.Fee I believe is Rs100 ...
