These are all good posts.

As for myself, I live in Jindalee, 10 kays from work (Milton) and 13 from CBD. I leave early at 6:30-ish am and get to work in 15-20 minutes door to desk. I leave at 4-4:30pm and get home usually in the same time.

Shift it an hour later and it will easily double the time. I also have the train option from Darra which runs express trains during rush hour and gets me to work in 15 mins and CBD in 20. Trains run every 6 mins during rush hour am, every 12 mins pm. Parking at stations, if early enough up to 07:30am, is good and free.

I am close to everything including doctors, dentists, shops, cycle way, the river, Junior and Senior schools, golf course, bowling club (but I'll wait a few more years before I use that ), huge shopping centre, highway to CBD and Gold Coast, public swimming pool and most importantly at least 2 bottle shops.
