Re: Brisbane Expats Meet
Proofreader - no problems, this is the 4th one, so Ive pretty well got it down pat . As you said, I do do my homework, lifes tough when you have to drag the kids around to different spots just to see if its suitable for a large number of expats to converge on it .
OK, as gazza said Jan is looking fav so far, so lets try the 8th Jan & see how we go.
So far the list is
Dagboys (2+2 kids)
mlbonner (2+1 kid)

Cresta (2+1)
nikkers & Arnie (2+1)
ABC (2+1)
Debsy (2+2)
Terry (2?)

Gazzzzzzzzza (2+1?)

Planning that far ahead is difficult but we hope to be there!
2 of us, 3 kids, large bottle of tranquilizers and booze for the adults.
Wynnum is good, Jan 8 should be good too!

Dear Mrs.Dagboys,
If the 8th jan is a Saturday, then we would love to come along. I work on Sundays so its a bit of a problem. Rob, me (Louisa) and our 10 year old daughter Madison will be there. Just had the Gold Coast meet last Sunday (Blagged a sickie from work that day!!!) so we would love to do another, Regards Louisa (Robertd)

Instead of sitting at the computer to see what's happening, they may be sitting at Southbank, or at a park somewhere, or even just working

I'm enjoying both at the moment - between meeting with people from this site and work/friends/partner & his family/sports teams I've joined etc etc I don't think I've ever had such an active social life! I can honestly say now (which I dont think I could have said with as much conviction a month ago) that I'm loving it over here & keeping pretty busy. I guess accordingly my time on here is less and less.... just not enough hours in the day for everything

Take myself for example; my normal life for years has been sitting in front of a computer for hours on end. Now I have the chance to do other things, but what do I choose to do ? To sit in front of a ****** computer !! (But this time not getting paid for it !! But at least I fill the gaps with the odd walk on the beach, or sitting in the garden
