According to a local newspaper website he's moving over in December.

He's married to a a Fremantle girl called Sophie Gare, her and her sister were in a girl band called "The Jam Tarts". They've been together for a long time and Ben Elton has been back and forth between Australia and UK for as long - he was accepted here for many years before he married her - the Young One's was an absolute "must watch" for teenagers in the 80's.

They've been together for a long time and Ben Elton has been back and forth between Australia and UK for as long - he was accepted here for many years before he married her - the Young One's was an absolute "must watch" for teenagers in the 80's.

He's been performing here since the 80's too - his books have been very popular - he's been on Enough Rope and Rove etc, etc. He's practically an honorary aussie in fact.
