3.21, beat that! It was the 2nd series of Extras that did it, it was reseeded and I ended up with a ratio of 17 for it.

For those of you trying to join uknova in order to get the tv download, there is an automated screen here that submits your request every 30 seconds until you get an account... otherwise it'll take you days as they free new accounts at random moments.

http://paulbain.co.uk/uknova/

Don't know anything about this script, so I'd use a name and password that you haven't used elsewhere.

It worked for me in about 15 mins.

I can't download it yet, is there some kind of queuing system as I always find I have to wait until it's been on for about 48 hours.

its because your ratio is below a certain level. make sure that once you have downloaded it you leave it to seed for as long as possible, its the only way to get your ratio up.

Thanks, just paranoid about the broadband as upload counts toward my poor allowance.

Check out the Whirlpool site for better options mate...

iiNet, who I'm with, don't count uploads in your quota so I leave several torrents running 24/7...

Fantastic link. I filled in the info and left it alone for a few hours and now I'm signed up. I should get to watch a show in the next hour.

thanks, UKNova 'rocks'

..with a bit of luck and a following wind [wait time 24hrs] got the WDU episodes onto my Apple using QuickTime player.

for Apple users only

Should any Apple folks find a white screen on their QuickTime player, sound only, it's because QuickTime does not have a codec installed to play your torrent. [WDU has avi format].

However, after a google, the following links will help as they convert downloaded torrents for OSX and OS9

http://www.3ivx.com/download/macos.html

http://www.3ivx.com/divxdoctor/

QP now works perfectly

about to watch the 3rd episode......

Mine hasn't downloaded anything yet and I set it up about 4 hours ago. How long does it take from initial setup to its first reception of some data?

give it 24hrs, but if you open up Azureus, double click on the torrent, look at tracker status on left hand side, this will show how many hours before downloads can commence.

I registered with UKNova yesterday and downloaded 7 WDU's today, only took me the arvo to find the codecs to get QP to run properly.

dl's a tad slow but I think your ratio speeds this up

be patient or you can always do what I tend not to do....rtfm

The original thread is HERE , but I thought I'd move the UKNova info out into this thread to stop it getting lost.........so can we keep this one to the torrent stuff, and the other thread to the discussion of the programmes themselves
