Default Australian Open 2009- watching on TV?

We'll be in Oz from January 17th and my dh (and to a lesser extent I) are keen to watch as much of the tournament as possible. Will much be shown on terrestial TV or do we need to get Sky (or Oz equivalent) set up (we can do it now as we're moving in with relatives)? We'll be in Newcastle NSW. What are the Sky-type options in Oz?

Thank in advance

It's shown on terrestrial.
I'll be watching... apparently Hewitt is at the Hopman Cup in Perth this year.

Glad it's shown on terrestrial but how much coverage do you think we could expect? We'd want more than just half hour highlights each day. TIA

Don't worry, theres plenty of coverage. The rest of the tv schedule has to fit around the tennis.

I'm just up the road from Newcastle...and NBN have it all day, just a break at 6 for the news. But be warned, you'll be dreaming of "Ranbuild, Kia Motors, Hungry Jacks..etc etc....with all the flipping ads!! :-)
