Default Australian Ebuyer or Scan Computer Components where to buy Sydney

Hello

I need to repair and upgrade about five PCs and was wondering if anybody has a useful recommendation for an Australian Ebuyer or Scan Computer Components, as these two companies are great back at home, but struggling to find good quality components at a reasonable price over here in Sydney.

Any help would be great, many thanks

AberJazz

Ps. It's 36 degrees in Sydney today - Happy Christmas!

Thanks for your comments

www.google.com.au is a wonderful resource, but you also can't beat a personal recommendation from a human!

If anybody does know a good value quality computer components shop in Sydney and could recommend a place that would be great - many thanks

As I said, Sydney is a big place, so maybe you could narrow the parameters down to "suburbs" to help people?
PS, have you posted your request in "The Lab" forum? Alot of computer gurus hangout there on occasions. http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=99

Best prices near to wholesale I can find. Superb stock and excellent service. They rely on bulk movements.

Hello

Thanks for the replies, we have offices in Kings Cross, Maroubra, but often cover lots of the other suburbs as well.

Many thanks for the tips and the sun has just come out to play as well, pity I'm at work today!

I brought the parts for a few PCs over with me on the plane (to rebuild into a case here, and buy monitors), and the first thing I realised is that there doesn't appear to be any very large mail-order computer component retailers in Sydney, but there are plenty of individual shops, drop-shippers and small chains whose prices are pretty good. I have used http://www.pricespy.com.au/ and http://www.shopbot.com.au/ to find stockists and compare prices for specific items. The metro couriers are cheap enough that it's far less hassle to get things delivered.

Hi

There are a bunch of shops in Capitol Square on George Street (opposite Paddy's Market) in the CBD who are very good. Generally have most things you need and will haggle - be aware different shops have much keener pricing than others on certain things!

cheers

Try
http://www.i-tech.com.au/
Purchased parts and barebone systems when we were in NSW, I now use
http://www.netplus.com.au/
But being in Perth , freight cost would maybe rule them out .
Their custom online quote is hard to beat.
