Up until now I've never considered Australia as a new home.
I wonder if any of you fellas could advise.
Do you think I would stand a chance of success?
Here's a brief profile
Age 33
Education PhD elect eng
Experience 3 years (post PhD) 4 years (post Bachelors)
Never been to Australia and have no relatives there.
It'd be interesting to know whether I may qualify. I'll give it some serious consideration.
Has anyone researched the Australian job market? What are the job prospects for analog VLSI (silicon chip) designers?
Would I need any special registration, as I would in Canada?
I'm going off the idea of Canadian PR as they now appear to require Canadian work experience.

Hi
I would strongly advise you to visit Oz before making any decicions.Yes it is a
wonderful place but nothing beats first hand experince! I know it's difficult for
some with the expense factor but it is such a huge, life changing decicion. We visited
3 times before we settled here.
Best of luck
