Still negative prediction posting, you said you are a permanently half glass full positive guy, you do understand your post was negative and it looks like it isn't going to happen.

Well they do a lot to cover up things here in Australia and I suspect the banks are on the front row to do so because they are aerning a lot of money with th A$ on a high level. The rest of the country will suffer in the future from it because products from Australia are much to expensive to export overseas.

Also, the figures on the site of the ABS are not correct if you just make some calculations yourself and the unemployment rate going down doesn't cope with this article about the number of vacancies. I'm not an economist but I know some things about economics and this doesn't just make sense.

for more than half a year the vacancies are decreasing and the unemployment rate does so, that can't be true. I think Oz is trying to cover up to prevent from the bubble to burts, but it will happen anyway, they just are delaying it

It looks like unemployment might rise to 5.3% up by 2% you would think they would just keep it down instead of putting it up if they can put it where they want as some would have us believe. All these cover up claims with no proof seem pointless opinions to me, I don't believe figures from any country in regards to unemployment and growth, but the official figures are all we can go by, take them with a pinch of salt, we do in the UK, its a sick joke, but Australia has had 21 years of economic growth, the last few whilst most countries in the world are in recession, or close to it, which is incredible.

There is rather a lot of evidence that a downturn is looming. The reduction in the price of ores are of great concern. Just to what degree will things slide is debatabe....21 years is indeed a long time.....but as they say nothing lasts forever....at the same time far from all doom either...
