Aus and NZ...Several ramblings.
#1
Well here we are nearly 12 months after we submitted our PR app for Aus and it feels like we're no closer. Been a while since I put anything on here, so I wonder if anyone can help with some questions and thoughts?
1)Has anyone applied for a PR for NZ at the same time as Aus,if so how's it going? Any thoughts on the pro's and cons of this?
2)Anyone know the current processing time for a PR for NZ?
3)If anyone is familiar with the points system for NZ (the new 2002 one) can you advise what the following could expect to get: Registered Nurse (Diploma) nursing for 14 years. Age 36 next Aug. English speaker (born and living in the UK). With proceeds from sale of house will have about £35-40k to take over there.
4)Does any one know the state of play at Australia House, what month are they up to and have they really run out of visa's 'till next July?
5)Can anyone recommend a good agent for NZ (UK) and what sort of money does it cost?
Any answers welcome, hope you all have a good Christmas and a great New Year.
Cheers for now,
Chris.

Have a look at www.malcolmpacific.co.nz
They are the only NZ immigration agents I know of. By running through the assessment
on their web site, using the info you provided, I got a favourable result.
I have a feeling that you may also find some sort of assessment form on the NZ
immigration site www.immigration.govt.nz
I have no idea as to the cost of an agent, but generally ppl do not use them to get
in to NZ as there is little need to. Our application was quite complicated but we
managed OK with some thought and planning.
Hope this helps!
Happy New Year!

I'll second that. We're in the process of completing the forms at the moment and
they're not that bad. It just requires a little patience!

Malcolm Pacific are good, prompt and informative, if a little bit on the expensive side!
Processing times for NZ from applying, for us, was within 1 month!!!
Happy hunting!
