What constitutes a good relocation package? This is would be an interstate move.
Do you just get a cash allowance or actual assistance? This is a big, big company.
Cheers anyone

Hi, just been through this although moving countries on an intra-company transfer.
We were assigned a relocation agent, who was given a budget and orchestrated our move.
This included a week's looksee (flights, accommodation, per diem), the physical move (i.e., full packing and moving - airfreight as well as seafreight), a relocation agent to help us find a property, a migration agent to do the visa application, a month in temporary accommodation (which we swapped for help with our first month's rental as we found a place on our looksee, plus car rental, furniture rental and a per diem), advice from a tax accountant, an allowance (US$2500 IIRC) for trailing spouse - i.e., me - to use on education, career advice, etc., and an amount to cover unspecified expenses (US$7500, which has helped us move our 3 cats!).
Not sure if you would call that "good" but it sure made our lives easier.

We were in rented property - sold up years ago before our first big move.
