Default any info for a newbie?

Hi

My partner and I are thinking of moving to Victoria (Geelong). We do not have rose-tinted specs on but we believe that life here in the London is always going to be poor for us. We have a reasonable amount of money to put towards a house. We don’t believe all our problems will be solved but we hope life will be better. I can’t seem to find much info about Geelong, can anyone give me some sites or names of books?

Would like to find info on
Local Hospitals (I am a nurse)
What the area is like
Whether
House prices

Thank you
Ruby

G'day Ruby,

If you do an Australian Google search (www.google.com.au) and choose the option to search Australian sites only, it comes up with loads of sites for you to visit!

Cheers,
PR

Hi Ruby. Try Geelong Council (lots of useful stuff there) and for property, Realestate.com.au or Domain.com.au. For weather Weather.com

ok this could be a thick question but Geelong is a cooler part i think? as the houses on the site have gas heating and not one i've seen has a pool. Today is my first day of doing my research!

I've heard the climate in VIC be described as 'Mediterrenean'. Gets hot in the summer (30's) and cooler in winter (low teens I think is verage).
