Wifey likes the look of it. Will do some more research on the saftey aspect and reliability.

I used to be a Toyota man, but after all the recalls worldwide, I've gone off them.

My High&Dry (Hyundai) here in the UK is great. No issues.

The Magnas a fine beast. I used to have a TP Magna an absolute fine beast. Only complaint was an overly large turning circle.

Country miles - no dramas. Loadsa short journey's - stuck in traffic not so good. Look at those taxis which rarely get cold.

The last time this was asked I said that high k's on a car is OK if you've put them on. For me it is a bit of a giggle seeing how many k's I can put on a vehicle. I'm hoping I'll get my Saab to the moon (if not back) - many do so.

I dunno if they were pulling me leg but they reckoned the cars pretty much run 24/7. Drivers do 12 hour shifts and don't even turn off the engine when swapping over! ...

As I say, dunno if pulling me leg but see heaps of the old shape with soooo many zero's!

That's what they say!

Those one in Cyprus don't get swamped with rain nor afflicted with salt on the roads.

I have a Verada with 180K on the clock just run in I know. It runs and drives pretty well only downside are small things going wrong like the central locking, elec mirrors and fuel gauge. We have had it 18 months now and intend to keep until the doors fall off.

Getting back to the original point that kind of money for a Prado that age seems silly, maybe consider a Korean alternative or even a cheaper jap option.
