Adelaide Update
I applied to Adelaide in Jan 2002 as non IT- got the acknowledgement on March 5th. Checking the timeline stuff there seems to be a distinct lack of medical requests etc for skilled independents after March.
Does anyone know if they've stalled on processing or if there'll be a bit more progress now that we've started the new visa year? There's only a handfull of us on timeline that applied Dec / Jan but have yet to have a medical request.
Thanks

Yep, me too. Applied Jan 4 got the acknowledgement but that's it. I've been
considering phoning but don't have the number. I an not in IT but in
Communications but seems they overlooked this as far as fast tracking goes. My
nominated ASCO is 4316-11.

Re: Adelaide Update
Ian,
I also applied via skilled -non IT...
Applied April had acknowledgement last month, they told us a 50 week wait was expected and not to contact them unless our circumstances had changed, said that it will take someone off a case having to deal with the query.
My guess is to just sit tight (yes I know it's killing us too!)
and wait it out...
Hope this helps

It's not that I'm concerned about the wait, things could certainly be worse - could have applied to London AHC and be in for a 20-month wait.
My point was really that there seemed to be a glut of requests for medicals and police checks earlier on in the year but now they appear to have dried up.
We're going back to Oz for a holiday in October and I may get the medicals done there (if the request comes through) as it will cut down on posting time etc.
Good luck to everyone else who's visa is in the pipeline.
