most definately an engineer. resource sector workers can earn upwards of $70 per hour every day of the week here in Perth at the moment.

I have some contractors out earning $1200 a day.
Rents are still far to low in WA, they will only continue to go up.

Yes, some people are indeed earning shedloads of cash, but what this illustrates to me is the other people who are earning a pittance in order to have a Perth median salary of around $54,000.
These are people like teachers, coppers, firies, nurses, paper pushers, cleaners, retail, hospitality workers - you know, the same sorts people who can't afford to buy a house in the UK either.

I think the figure of $80k household income mentioned earlier is about average for Perth. I think you have said previously that this is your household income.

The most exciting place they have got is the very over priced Beach House and a delapidated "Greenhills adventure park"
There are only so many times you can visit Hahndorf, gorge wildlife park and Victor Harbor.

To those of you who are slating the op, for asking about Perth or Adelaide, is this not what this forum is all about It's just a question to get some ideas about both places, having never been. Don't worry desnshaun most people on here are helpful

We eventually sold the house to a lovely young couple. Really pleased. Have just had the survey done as well. If the survey comes back ok we are planning on leaving mid January as thats when they want to be in. Fingers crossed it goes ok.
Hopefully we are heading towards Mandurah area but one thing I can say is that we are really excited about getting there now.

We were down visiting Mandurah Quays again today, Halls Head, Meadow Springs and Bridgewater, so lovely, what a beautiful area, the scenery is fantastic, hoping to move there in a few weeks ourselves. Looking forward to the lifestyle change that everyone tells us about. Good luck with the house fingers crossed, you'll be here before you know it,
