Hi all first post on this site my partner and i are waiting on our first part of the application being accepted,i was wondering if anyone could give us any information on adelaide eg what areas might be nice to stay,what you might expect to get for about $250,000 house wise,restruants,private schooling etc any information would be great.We are hoping to be away by june the house is sold so fingers crossed.

anyone that helps the are on me.

On the housing front go to www.realestate.com.au for an idea on what you will get. You maybe a little way out but you should pick up a pretty tidy home for that amount. Do not forget to add the govermnet stamp duty on to the house value.

You could probably buy a three bedroom house about 6/7 miles from the city although which direction will vary that. We live that far north and picked up a 2 bedroom house with a garage we have converted to a bedroom (never rains so car gets the heave ho).

If I were spending that money then Broadview would be a classic example of a suburb for $205K at a guess. Only trying to help and I recommend the west end draught @ £10/24 bottle slab
