Also, the fact you have "persuaded" your wife now is a worrying comment. Emigrating can be an incredibly stressful thing to do and it has claimed more that one marriage. Doing it when one party has had to be persuaded into it can cause BIG problems down the line
Thank you for the information.its good to get a practical view on these things. I didn't realise the issues with education. My son will likely be going to university in a couple of years and wouldn't want to cause extra financial burden.
It really is looking like an impossible odds and something that I need to accept won't happen.

I too have heard of marriages ending as a result of differing outlooks on emigrating.
