3 weeks Brisbane accomodation needed
Hi all,
We're going out next June to validate our visas and hope to have a good look around Brisbane and surrounding area.
We're starting off in Sydney, taking a trip down to Melbourne and then heading up to Brisbane. We originally considered hiring a motorhome but this is proving a tad expensive so we thought about a car and about 2-3 weeks accomodation in or around Brisbane.
Does anyone know of any links to firms that deal in holiday rentals? Also if anyone knows of car hire firms. (We'll need this from Sydney).
Thanks in advance.
Ginny.

If we're there by then hopefully with a granny flat, you're more than welcome. Otherwise last year our friends came with us and stayed in various cheap and decent motel type places. It's fairly easy to find . They also picked up a hire car in Brisbane and dropped it off in Sydney I'll find out the details and let you know.

I dont think you would find holiday houses in brisbane, but try www.wotif.com.au, it will offer a variety of motels and hotels from about $60 a night. Most would allow 2 young kids such as yours to stay free. It is for bokings 2 weeks ahead, but always full of hotels and if you fancied one you could always contact them privately.

Thanks for the information and offers so far. Please keep them coming.
Dotty, I've tried your link a few times but got nowhere. Is it an old one or more likely my computer? I'll try a few variations.
Thanks again

Re: 3 weeks Brisbane accomodation needed
Hi,
Last year we stayed in Redcliffe (outer northern suburb) in a 2 bed
apartment
privately owned by Barton Ware, [email protected].
It was functional, inexpensive & easy to get around with a car (its also
beachfront). We hired a car in Sydney from a company called Atlas (booked
over the internet), they gave us a free upgrade & unlimited mileage. We
drove up to Brisbane. We decided Redcliffe wasn't where we wanted to live
but a good base for getting around & chose Caloundra as our destination - a
40min drive from Redcliffe.
Hope this helps.
