Thanks for your honesty I know its not a lot.

I would be happy with that lasting 3 months. Getting a job won`t be a problem, or never has been so far.

Tough shit really because thats all I`ve got so you either do these things or you dont

Tim
If your staying with family and their giving you a car, you could probably get by on the family tax benefit and keep the rest in the bank.

Yep, and a loaf of bread does not have to cost $4 either, for which I am glad.

4 Sandwiches for school, = 8 slices out of a $1.10 sliced white loaf = 20 cents per sandwich, and that's including the Nutella filling

It'll last 3 months, but you'll not be 'on holiday' nor enjoying yourself too much either. Probably feel like refugees until you get settled.

Good luck though - determination goes a long way.

The cheap one is pretty bad, but this one is reasonable, especially for standard sandwiches.

Thank you all.

Like you say, determination goes a long way, and the family will help no end, as they have already, they have bought everything a baby could need as well as single handedly furnished our home (when we get one)

Luckily, I am a telecomms engineer, and as I have heard, Australia is booming in terms of broadband etc. I don`t care if I dont earn Millions of dollars, I just want a happy, simple exsistence in the sun with the family

Also, It depends on the person in question but I have a knack of falling on my feet and I am not worried, OK maybe a little!

Thanks for the input

Make sure you get your teeth sorted before you arrive. A friend of mine just got a quote of $6500 to have a 'bad' tooth replaced.
