Re: $100,000 bond who's paid it
There was once a thread on this site, ages ago, by somebody who claimed they had their visa granted without the bond being paid, almost as if DIMIA forgot to ask for it!!!
Dont know whatever happened to them or in fact if it was at all true!
Anyelse else remember that, Ill try and search for it.

Only problem is our house is still on the market, and we need to sell to raise the cash.
Any suggestions on how I can raise the cash without selling the house would be appreciated.

See you are in Adelaide area, what areas do you recommend to look for housing to either buy or rent. Would prefer to be near the coast is this a good idea or not. Also is there any particular areas that have high population of expats. Your thoughts are appreciated.

We are awaiting request for bond at the moment and dont like how much it is at present. When it is paid do you know if the interest will be on the pount amount or just the $100,000 depending on interest rate when you get it back.

We did, skilled migration, but as we are in our 40's we bought the extra points, got a good rate though 2.46, changed the rest at 2.35, still better than todays rate though.
