What is NCBIS school like/Cairo living?
Hi there,
We used to live in Cairo 10 years ago and are thinking of moving back but are wondering how things have changed especially after the revolutions? Is there still affordable family housing and lifestyle for expats? Do you still get the cheap internal flights and accommodation? What can you tell us about private schools in Cairo the good and not so good? NCBIS what is this school like? Thanks.

Hi Cathie,
Just joined the BE, as we are moving out of Cairo... and NCBIS!
So if you still need info, let me know...

Doing a Search for NCBIS I found this thread. Have applied for a teaching position there with favorable replies and assurances that all is well for expatriates and assistance with housing, etc.
I am hoping to read more on this thread to assess whether I will take up this offer.

Tell me a little bit more about what you want to know, maybe in mp? I will be happy to answer...
The school is indeed nice and I think the expat teachers are well treated...
They got housing, transport, insurance, flights back home... and a very decent salary...
Life in Kattameya is very safe, but housing is expensive. It is less polluted than in other parts of Cairo, with gardens and golfs in some compounds but life is less "exiting" than in other parts of town. It all depends of what you are looking for??
Have fun, and enjoy
