Default Oil work in Angola

Hi All,

I may have the chance to work in Luanda on Contract. I am an oil and gas service contractor in a QA/QC supervisory role. Can anyone tel me what day rate (GBP), and food allowance I should be expecting on a 4/4 rotation.

Thanks,

no idea,I've only been there twice, the first time I was doing ranging fire on the Airport and the second was with Bodyguards and a bulletproof range rover.
Musillo Island is quite nice tho. :-)

I've been there once, around 1994 - 1995, on an oil industry insurance job. Haven't a clue what the expats were being paid, but I think it was pretty generous because it was treated as a 'harsh environment' posting. They got all their food and booze free, and a lot of it was imported. Pretty good travel perks too IIRC, two or three months in country and a month off with return air fares to country of origin. I imagine that's all changed now.
