Default Switch study CIMA to CPA

Hi, I'm an Aussie (am I allowed here?) living in London & studying CIMA but looking to return to Aus in a year or so most likely before finishing my qualification.

Does anyone know what sort of credit I might get towards CPA from the CIMA papers I've done? I'll probably be moving when I've completed the management level.

Ideally I'd like to finish CIMA in Aus then get CPA under the MRA but there are no colleges that teach it & I'm not keen on external study. On the other hand CPA does seem easier - all exams are open book & multiple choice.

Cheers
Craig

You should simply put 2-3 simple sentences and e-mail them to CPA Australia Insitution. This should give you a clear idea of what your eventual options are.

Even if you find or connect with someone with similar experience, your case(s ) could be different, as Insitutions can often change recognition and exemptions towards other awarding insitutions' exams.

Usually, incomplete qualifications don't transfer easily.

Do you have an accounting degree? Or a degree in another subject?
