Default Newly qualified ACA looking to move abroad

Hi,

I have just recently finished my ACA qualifications and am in the midst of researching the best possible way to emigrate. Having researched online, this forum was the best source of information I could find.

Please could someone let me know the best possible overseas opportunities with the ACA (e.g. are Australia, Canada, Hong Kong possible)?

Is it advisable to find a job first before emigrating (is this even possible?) or to emigrate with the hope of finding a job after?

Any useful links for finding jobs would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Perhaps tell us a little about your aspirations - are you looking for permanent settlement/citizenship in another country? Or a fixed term contract after which you will be expected to leave?

Thanks for your reply. I am currently looking into both options but probably leaning towards the fixed term contract.

ACA is recognised in Australia as CA, and it is well recognised in Australia. But I think there's a few tests you need to accomplish.

It might be worth to give ACA a call and ask for more information.

Good website for job searching:

www.seek.com.au
www.mycareer.com.au
www.careerone.com.au

Good website for house hunting:
www.realestate.com.au
www.domain.com.au

Cheers.

Do you work with one of the big accountancy firms? If so I would suggest you ask for a transfer. Otherwise I would think it would be pretty difficult to find a fixed term contract with an employer willing to sponsor. Most people need to have PR and be over in Australia before they have much luck job hunting.
