Hi im from Ireland and thinking of moving to Dubai in a few months,im actually over there on Christmas and New Year on holiday,ive got a friend living there,anyway ive got over 6 years experience in accounts and credit control but i never studied accountancy in college,what id like to know is can i earn a lot more in Dubai than i can here in Dublin which isn't great at present about Eur 1,750 per month?

I'd be hoping to earn at least Eur 2,500+ (converted to dirhams) im just wondering if someone can possibly tell me if i could and also is that **************** agency worth paying as they do seem to have some attractive job offers with attractive salaries?

being an accountant, you can expect nothing to be honest...there's loads of info in the ME forum and faq's there...but to be honest, they can bring someone in from asia who will have the degrees, also have the experience and be willing to work 60+ hour weeks for a quarter of what your earning, so unless you have some very special niches skills, you'll probably be SOL...missed the good ole days in the UAE by a good 10 years.
