Is this qualification recognized in Australia? I have just completed my last CA paper, and though I work in financial reporting - I would like to transition at some stage to in house Corporate Finance/ Investment Evaluation/Business Development or M&A. I am aware the FINSIA Postgrad Dip is well known, but it is too expensive.

Hi there,

I am in a similar situation. ACCA member looking for abit of a career change with a CFA qualification and eventually a charter.

From my research on the internet I can see that people in Investments and finance are actually well aware of CFA. I am not much suprised by this as I do believe CFA has good global recognition.

I am however also looking for someone who knows better about this to enlighten me on job prospects etc.

Can I ask if you are moving anytime soon to Australia?

I have been in Australia for almost 5 years now. Not many financial industry jobs in WA, may be in Melbourne or Sydney. However, I have seen the big mining co.s require this for their in house M&A teams in Perth.
