My Class

On the day the children came to meet me, we were able to have a class photo taken along with the rest of the school. Even though they aren't in school uniform, I still think we look like a alright bunch!

These will be all the children I will have later in the year. 2 more start next week, so I will have a little group of 5, which be good, however this soon shoots up to about 17 just after the holidays.

The picture of me with my paintings is because I am trying to get back into painting as a hobby, and Marks wife Gail is also into art and also wanted to get back into it. But she found a craft fair in a local hall near us and wanted to get a stall! My first thought was 'people won't want my stuff', but we are doing it together so it will good to have her for moral support, and I thought I would give it ago! I will probably really regret it, but as the saying goes, 'Nothing ventured, nothing gained!'

So in my usual fashion of in for a penny in for a pound-or should that be dollar now!- I went a bought a whole load of canvases that were on offer and now have started my little art empire! Who knows what will happen, but I am having fun doing art again.

Another week at school, and I am really looking forward to it. I love having a job. Unfortunately, I am already having to apply for job for the new year! It never stops. But this time, I feel I have a better chance, and most of the hard part of the applications are done. They will just need tweaking.

We are going to have dinner now-

love to all

Best of luck with your art work. I admire people that turn paint into something beautiful. Perhaps you could put some on trademe? I like artwork from people that I know, as cliched and as cheesey as it sounds, I believe that any sort of art comes from the soul. Trademe could help advertising your work. I would definetly be interested in seeing some of your work, nothing makes a house feel like home with some good paintings from good people.

Great pic!

Your class look lovely!
Know what you mean about job applications - I'm starting to apply for posts for next year too.
Enjoy your small class while it lasts!
Best wishes, Debbie.
