Off to the match!

The sports showdown of the year is happening on our doorstep this weekend - yup, it's the All Blacks vs Seth Efrika right here in Christchurch on Saturday night!  The whole place is really ramping up for it, with posters, radio campaigns and all sorts of promotions going on all over the shop.

And we've only gone and got FREE tickets for it!!!

My work have only gone and come through with 2 tickets for our office.  Seeing as my mate Steve had already got his tickets, it was between me and Shannon.  A coin toss later and I'd only gone and won them!  The lottery luck must still be there in my fingers

So, T and I are off to the match, and are really lookin forward to it.  Sweet. 

Oscar

The furry one is not himself at present.  After the bollock chop he seemed OK but has now become very lethargic and sleepy.  We are hoping that he soon recovers, but I imagine that he will never be the cat that he was before, as without the love spuds he'll be missing a liitle get up and go.

Painting

T has been an absolute gem these past 2 days, and has managed to paint both the kitchen and the hallway.  It looks SO much better that the difference is astonishing.  Amazing what a lick of paint'll do.  Just up to me to do the lounge ceiling now.  Great.

Us

During a long walk this evening we were talking about this and that, and we realised  that we are happy here.  It's a great feeling, and one that we were unsure that we would feel this soon after turning our lives upside down, but there you go.  Life is by no means perfect, but it is certainly moving in the right direction - so, NZ gets a  from us so far!  Despite the crappy weather

Only a short update today, but more over the weekend I'm sure.
