The morning after the night beforePosted on Sunday 8 July 2007 at 09:20 - Post CommentWe're now well over our hangovers from last night, and have actually had a pretty productive day when considering the copious amounts of alcohol consumed last night!
Ollie's party was a real laugh, and we got to meet quite a few new faces which was great. I even met a Marine Ecologist, which was fantastic for me as we had a drunken chat about mussel recruitment, predation and survival levels of Mytilus Edulis (common UK mussel) on an exposed rocky littoral zone. As a Marine Biologist myself, that was the subject of my final study and it brought it all back to me. Sad though it sounds, it was great!
Toni soon got down a bottle of red and had a whale of a time too, and Ollie - well let's just say she was a little shabby when we left in the small hours. Here are the girls at the beginning of the evening:
As I said, it was a good night and we really enjoyed it. Here's us together about half way through:
So, today was a slow morning whilst getting over the effects. It was made much easier as Toni's best mate Natalie called her from the UK, so the pair of them caught up for ages which cheered T up no end. Anyway, we couldn't lay about forever as we had to make it out of the house for midday to go and see this place:
It's a 2 bed, stand alone town house with a MASSIVE double garage for me
and a great entertaining kitchen/ living room for T.
It's also got a patch of 'courtyard' which would do for a BBQ and hanging out the washing, as well as a little balcony to catch a few rays on in summer. All in all t's almost affordable and we quite liked it, so will see how things go with T and this contract she's applying for. Fingers crossed on so many things right now - T getting a contract, the house still being available, us being able to get a mortgage, etc etc. It's pretty unlikely right now to be honest, but it has got our juices flowing and considering a few options.
After this place we saw 2 others, but neither were any good for us and so I didn't even bother taking pictures. Still, let's see what happens eh? Shoot for the moon, and if you miss - well you may just end up among the stars
T will be putting her remaining week off to good use as she starts painting the kitchen tomorrow. You GO girl! Apart from that, there's not much else going on so when we've got any new news then you'll be the first to know - promise.
