All great journeys begin with the fist step

Well, just back from our weekend away and T gets a phone call.  It's only the Head of the school in Ashburton inviting her in for an interview!

T's VERY FIRST teaching interview!

The head sounded really positive, saying that the new CV had really done the business, and that - along with a striking covering letter - had meant that the board of decision makers were keen to look at the CV in detail.  On the back of that, they said that they'd be very interested in seeing her in person. The Head has also asked if T can get to the interview (this coming Thursday) a little early so that he can brief her on how things will go.  Now, I'm no expert, but this can only be a great sign and it seems that the Head is a little bit on T's side.

As this is the Ashburton role, the result of this interview will throw our entire lives into turmoil as the options we choose will directly affect our location, our income and ultimatley our happiness.  Big decisions await, so fingers crossed that if and when the time comes, we make the right ones for us.

Well, what a great end to an already blindingly good weekend!
