Good As Gold

As Kiwi's tend to say around these parts.  Toni has reported back from action in the front lines, and apparently all went very well, and in her own words 'They may actually have learnt something!'.  So, don't believe all you hear from the locals about schools and how good/ bad they are.  Still a few rough edges to be ironed out as to when we will actually see any money for all this effort, but we are most certainly getting there.

No other shifts arranged yet though, and a quiet phone is bad news for our bank balance.  Still, lets see what the rest of the week brings in that regard.

So, did I end up getting much work done today?  Well, not as much as I would have liked but still a busy one.  I am so crap at paperwork - I have a 6 inch pile of it on my desk that I just cannot shift.  It really needs some concerted effort, but I'd rather be on the phone than doing all that rubbish.  Still, a necessary evil so I'll crack through it tomorrow.

We've just now got back from a celebratory pint with my work mate Steve and his missus Kat, down at The Tap Room which is a rather nice bar on what is known locally as 'The Strip'.  Great bars along here, as all have large outdoor areas heated with gas burners to cater for the numerous Kiwi and tourist fag smokers (not us, I might add, as we both quit months ago - yay!) as it's illegal to smoke inside here.  Bloody good idea too, as it makes going out such a pleasure.  So, on a crisp night like tonight it's great to sit outside and not freeze our knackers off whilst enjoying a pint or two.

And that, as they also say around these parts, is 'sweet-as bro' '!
