A Good Weekend

It all started well with the great meal on Friday, and carried on on Saturday with a (necessary) lie in aswe both had heavy heads.  Then, as it was a flippin' gorgeous autumn day we went for a leisurely ride along the Avon river through the botanical gardens in Hagley Park.  It was such a beautiful day, that nearly everyone was out in their shorts and tee's - including us.

We got back to the flat just before 3 ready for the influx of Tupperware faithful following last weeks leafleting etc.  No joy though, so that whole 'demo' thing has been well and truly knocked on the head.  Toni's manager has just called and has arranged a party for her which is great news, so we'll just have to see if things improve on this front.

All of a sudden 7.30 was here, and we were late for the thing that Toni has been looking forward to for weeks - the release of Spiderman 3!  All did not start well though, as we went into the wrong cinema, kicked a couple out of what we thought were 'our' seats, and settled in for 5 minutes before realising our mistake!  After we DID realise, we sheepishly made a hasty exit - thank god them places are dark!   So, 2 minutes later we are in the CORRECT seats, in the correct cinema, and it was a great film.

Today we have had a bit of a cruisey day, going to the Riccarton Racecourse Sunday Market this morning, and then on to the Ski and Snow Show at Addington Raceway in order to get some info on the forthcoming ski season.  Looks like it'll be a learning season for us this year, with a few resorts to try out, and see which suits us best.  We have both decided to go down the Snowboard route though, so expect the first ski update on here to be from ChCh A&E   Once we know what we want to focus on next year, we'll take a bit of the filtyh lucre with us to the sale and buy up some proper kit, as there were a load of decent bargains to be had.

Back at the flat we decided a stroll into town was in order to do a bit of shopping,  This is the biggest plus of our cheap and chilly flat - 5 minutes or less and we are in the thick of it in the city, which has added SO much value to our first few months here.  Anyway, a bit of a walk and some shopping later and we're now back in the flat looking at the massive pile of laundry still do do. Hmmmm.... maybe tomorrow....
