Dead 'Ard

Me that is.  One thing I forgot to add to the 'list of stuff done' is to mention that I ran the 'City to Surf' 12km run last month with my work colleague Steve.  I did a little training before hand, and so felt well prepared.

However, the day of the run dawned hot and steamy, making the run itself very hard as the heat really does get to you.  Water stops were a welcome relief, however only to chuck over your head.  I tried drinking a bit, but running and drinking ain't easy - believe me!

Still, one hour and 11 minutes later and I had done it!  I was so chuffed with myself, and Toni met me at the finish line to share in my success.  If someone had told me before we left the UK that I'd be running 12kms within 2 months of arriving I'd have laughed in their face.  Happy?  Me?  You betcha!
