Well our first step has turned into our first hurdle, we sent off the first reference to ex-employer, after Dh spoke to him on the phone and he was more than obliging, said to send through before fri as he was going on hols fri (today) so i emailed it straight through, and phoned yesterday to see how it was going, they wouldnt put me through first two times, so i got dh to phone and he told him to 'give him a break' ffs we are impatient, all he has to do is print and sign, how hard can it be.

So off he has gone to holidays today and I bet still undealt with. grrrrr.

HOWEVER we have just leaped over a HUGE hurdle and probably the biggest in this journey - THE MOTHER IN LAW!!  Dh spoke to her on phone last night and she was asking how work was and if it is busy blah blah so he started whittering on about colleagues who have gone to France, canada *ahem* Austaralia and what a great oppourtunity they had, then then he was blabbing on about how much easier it is having the support of the family etc, it was really hard for me knowing how she was taking it, and he said she took it really well and what an amazing opportunity it would be.

I was really pleased that he told her that he hasnt spoken to me about it yet, I dont want her thinking it is me bringing him even further away from her, i tend to get the blame for everything.
