Hi,

Im looking for some help and advice.

I want to go on holiday to Orlando for 2 weeks sometime next year with my 2 children who will be aged 8 and 5.

I have done my research and got holiday prices, passports have been issued, new clothes and spending money all saved up. All that is left to do is pay for the holiday and get visa's sorted which is where in lies the problem.

I have a criminal record (not for anything to major - one or two drunk/disorderly, breach of the peace, i got caught shoplifting once but just got a caution then and there at the shop by the police.

I understand my 2 children can apply to travel under the VWP as the are both eligiable. Unfortunutly i am not. I have to make a trip to London/Belfast to attend a interview to see weather they will allow me to travel to U.S.

My worry is that i will aquire a visa, travel all the way to Sandford Airport only to be sent back home.

From blogs i have already read i understand they like you to prove you will be going back home etc.

Obviously i will have a return ticket, my chldren are in school back in the U.K, i will have enough money to pay for holiday - e.g food, excursions etc, i dont have a job but may do when holiday time comes, my family are all back in the U.K also.

What i would like to know is is this enough for them to allow me entry for our holiday or will my past come back to haunt me and prove to be a very costly mistake. Dont want to spend £4500 on a holiday i cant help.

Any help/comments greatly appreciated :)

Regards
