UK to Canada: Beginning to End

Just when the New Year blues and snow had well and truly set in a piece of good news to lift the mood. Today I did the ritualistic daily check of our 'Client Application Status' only to find the following:

Congratulations....and you are a good soldier if you would consider Cold Lake. I had a friend, who long ago, had joined the Canadian Navy, he used to watch the airforce boys on the ship, and so went to his CO and said he wanted to be in the airforce and he spend 6 years in Cold Lake for that particular request.
