Woohoo, im finally allowed to start FWB - 12 weeks ago after the op i assumed i would have been up and walking by now - i thought id be walking in and out of that clinic today, but its turned out to be a hell of a lot harded than i could have imagined.  I wish id just broken my leg!  Instead of recking my knee.

Hey hoo - onwards and upwards - saw the consultant today and im allowed to progress onto full weight bearing, a massive step forward as i only managed to walk in the pool last week.  Ive finally seen my ct scan pics and xrays - eww - the dr's are happy as the bone graft has taken and i have signs of bone growth, which is amazing.

We havnt got over the shock of having our visa, i cant wait to be able to get up and down the stairs/move about etc just so i can start sorting and packing!

thank yous

This is a big thank you to everyone that has helped us along our way so far.  We really cannot remember everyones names - we would miss people off if we tried to do a list and thats not nice!  SO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE - THANK YOU!

We set about our TRA with vigour, 120 pages of it, once we started researching the visa application though we seriously considered using an agent, if you have any complications then its best to use an agent etc, well somehow - despite having every complication going we managed to overcome them all and get the visa.

Our BE friends have helped us every step of the way, TRA - 'you can never write too much/explain it to a 2 yr old' invaluable statements, VISA 'answer any questions in advance' - I.E.children from another relationship - well get the documentation you need before you submit your application etc etc.

Our trials and tribulations have not all stemmed from our desire to emmigrate, mainly from being a family, having cock ups etc!  But its a good name.

Woohoo i finally mastered getting on to the writing the blog page - this has proved somewhat of a challenge to me!

first entry - WE HAVE A VISA   woohoo, finally got the magic 136, we started this journey long long ago - well april last year 2006.

From first entering tentatively and asking that first question on BE, to gathering tons of information for our TRA,  having to sort court issues out, then imaginary medical problems, to me being a pillock and breaking my leg to finally being able to announce the magic thread .

Its a rollercoaster!  Pepsi max in blackpool has nothing on the visa coaster!
