This time next month I will be on my last day at work. It will be my birthday and we will be flying out to Singapore the very next day! I can't Adam and Eve it!

It's been a bittersweet couple of days. We are now beginning the round of goodbyes which is very hard. Yesterday, we spent the afternoon in the New Forest at a lovely pub with one of my bridesmaids and her family. She has a 4 week old daughter who is just adorable! It was so sad to leave and I cried and felt so sad on the train home. The next time I see baby Anya she'll be walking and talking and will be a clever little possum just like her sister Maya :)

I would  have been crying even harder on the train home if I could because it then took 5 hours to get back! I mean really, what are we paying such high train fares in this country for if they can't sort out the signalling? So today I feel absolutely dreadful and I've got a ton of work I want to get finished. Have decided to hide at home and get through some stuff.

We had some good news on Darryl's job front - well no job offer, but his old boss emailed him with some good contacts, and also confirmed that things were better off in NZ for him rather than being here. And that the most opportunities will be in Auckland. We always thought that, but it's good to have it clarified by someone else who's in the know!

So in the meantime we are still surrounded by packing boxes. I finally took my wedding dress to be cleaned, but it will take 3 weeks before it comes back! That wouldn't be so much of a problem if only  we weren't planning on sending the washing machine back but it means I could be down the laundrette for 3 months in Auckland. Hmmmm may have to take in on the plane with us, as yet undecided what to do :(

Anyway best get on with some work, it won't do itself!
