Number 2 Perthette is now supporting some very stylish "Barbie" glasses. She looked cute before, but boy, I'm telling you, you could just eat her up now, she looks sooo adoreable!
We had the eye-test on Tuesday, and they put some drops in her eyes (that stung, bloomin' optician - I'd promised her that they wouldn't do anything to hurt her)! It made her pupils dialate like you wouldnt beleive. (Looked like she's been popping pill's and when she dances to Bob The Builder's "Big Fish, Little Fish, cardboard box" I can just see her in white gloves blowing a whistle. (If you know what I mean)?
The optician said it might make her sight a little blurry for a few hours but will be fine the next day. She cottoned on to this fact and milked it for all it was worth! That's my girl! Her eye's were still very dialated by Thursday, but they have since normalised. Her oval pupil I was worried about? The optician is 99% sure its because of her genetic condition and nothing to worry about. Phew! We will definately have to get medical insurance when we get to OZ - dentist and optician now tro think about.
We went to a party today and she was a little nervous about what her friends would say to her. They said nothing, and soon the glasses were forgotten about too.
School holiday's have flown by! I will miss them on Monday - I hope #2 will be OK.
We sent another email enquirey to HOC yesterday. They have had #2's additional information for two weeks now - and said that a descision would be made "with or without it", but status page remains unchanged? Grrr - still in waiting "stick pencil's up your nose with underpants on your head" type of hell ......(wubble)!
We've paid the deposit for the rental, our house is progressing nicely, I dont think we will "complete" next week now, but is looking like the week or even 2 weeks after that.
Next week is OH's birthday, he's adamant (that's positive - not the 80's Prince Charming type of Adam Ant) that he doesn't want a present. Does he mean it? Or is he bluffing? I might book a table at his favourite reasurant just to be sure?
We had a lovely walk around Ogden Water yesterday. We all got really muddy, rosie cheeked and tired legs, but it was so nice us all getting out together. It's been hard because of all the miserable weather we've had.
I've caught up on all the washing ready for our move - not the ironing mind you, that's impossible. We are calling the mountain of ironing "Colin" now - he's kinda a permanent fixture now in our dining room. The place just wont be the same without him. I even find myself talking to him, he's the strong silent type. I think I'm turning into Shirley Valentine! God help me!
