UK-Canada pension transfer (early retirement) - Posted at 09:43 on Saturday 10 October 2009 by hartken1 I live in Canada. In response to my request to my UK superannuation scheme company, they informed me they required a reason for my wish to receive early retirement payout. The trustee company must approve my reason. Does anyone know anything about "acceptable" or "unacceptable" reasons? Is there a policy statement that all or most pension trustee companies adhere to? Any guidance appreciated on how I ought best to reply to the requested reason why I wish early retirement payout. Cheers, KH
