They look kinda cute and "fluffy" from here - don't think a dog's face would agree !

speaking to our neighbours yesterday - their lab cross got into a fight with a porcupine and ended up at the vets with a mouth, nose and gums full of quills - poor thing and not an inexpensive way to spend Sunday afternoon at the Emergency Vet cover!

Vet told her that dogs often won't back off either - once the porcupine has hurt them, they want to get their own back and keep going in for more !!!

I am sooo glad that the dog didn't come into contact with the porcupine. He costs enough with his medication for his seizures without having to undergo quill extraction.
