It has been a whileMon 28 May 2007

Not much to report really.  It really is a case of same shit, shinier bucket for us.  Katie had netball Saturday morning and then the rest of the day was spent recovering from the monstrous hangover I had from my night out Friday.  For any of you Perth folk reading this we went for a lovely meal and then went to the Old Bailey in Joondalup.  It is the funniest pub on the planet for people watching and there are some seriously odd people who go there. I know why I don't go out that often now!!

Had our best mates round for Sunday lunch yesterday and they announced they are going home sometime this year.  The husband hasn't settled and the money he could be earning back in UK now is just too good to pass up for them.  To say I am gutted is an understatement, I will miss them so much.

We are coming up our 2 year anniversary in a couple of weeks and we are about to submit our application for PR.   We are just waiting for our Australian police checks to come back and then we can submit our application.  I am frantically dieting to at least show I am trying to get some of this weight off my big fat ass.  I hope to god we don't fail because of me, I am not sure my husband would ever forgive me.  Only time will tell and I will update when we know anything.

Off now to get the kids sorted for school.

Am I the only one that has to hold their tongue!Mon 9 October 2006
I drop by 3 separate expat websites.  I spend a copious amount of time reading threads and blogs.  Please tell me that I am not the only person that seems to take everything on board.  I read some that make me sad, some that inspire me (PP the most), some that make me laugh (hutch) and some that make me downright bloody mad.  The moving back to the UK forum makes my blood boil and I have had to stop going in there.  I understand homesickness, really I do,  I suffered really badly when I first left the UK 6 years ago.  However I didn't miss ready meals and stuff although I thank god daily for UK Nova so I can get my fix of Coronation Street, its the Northernbird in me you know.....
