Friday, September 23, 2005 - Special Agent Lionheart

Went to the gym as usual this morning. I only did cardio today as I decided I needed to trim down after plonking myself down in front of the TV last night to watch Survivor and The Apprentice, complete with 2 turkey burgers( lower fat than ground beef) and half a tube of Pringles, all washed down with a nice bottle of Shiraz. I must say the 'gravy' was flying out of me this morning on the stairmaster.

Before I started my work-out I stopped by the swimming pool as my son James started swimming today. I regreted not having my camera with me as Elina looked gorgeous in her swimming costume, at six months pregnant and with one of those tight rubber swimming caps on hear head, it would have made a great photo to post but I doubt Elina would have agreed.

 Today's job offers came in the form of an e-mail suggesting I become a Special Agent for the FBI. I clicked on the link with an open mind and discovered I don't qualify, as I need to be under 36 and a US citizen. The e-mail was probably sent to me as the recruiters came across my resume, which does meet most of the other requirements, such as worldwide travel experience and a second language, which means I would be great in South or Central America. I could escort the President with conversational phrases such as ;

Donde esta el restaurante?

 Elina and I are actually going out tomorrow by ourselves without James, this will be the first time in about 6 months that just the two of us will be going out. Coincidently,  Elina's Finnish freind who is married to an FBI special agent who was recently posted to Iraq is babysitting for us.
